These nucs are our pride and joy — raised, bred, and overwintered right here in Michigan. They’re true survivor stock, proven to handle our unpredictable weather and tough winters. Every colony has been carefully selected for strength, health, and temperament, coming from our main breeder queen, Viplidoo.
We’ve spent over six years selectively breeding and stress-testing Viplidoo’s line to produce queens that can handle mites and thrive year after year. Her daughters have successfully overwintered in everything from double-story nucs to massive 10x10 production hives — she’s the real deal. (Want to know more about our breeding program? Each 5-frame nuc includes:
2–3 frames of brood in all stages
2 frames of honey and pollen stores
1 new frame for the bees to build on and prevent swarming
A healthy, mated queen
And, of course, plenty of hardworking bees!
Your nuc will come in a sturdy plastic ProNuc perfect for getting them home safely. (Just remember — this isn’t their forever home, so you’ll want to have your hive setup ready to go when you pick them up.)

Deposit: $50 to reserve your nuc (non-refundable unless we can’t produce your order due to weather or other factors)
Balance due: $150 per nuc at pick-up
